Christian Aid
Christian Aid has long campaigned on exposing the 'scandal of poverty'. This work has included leading on the Drop the Debt campaign and the Trade Justice Movement. Rich nations and their various institutions talk much about poverty reduction but in reality, their economic polices often inflict much more harm than good. Therefore, through our campaigning work and in collaboration with our partners in Africa, Asia and Latin America, we target governments, the G8, the World Trade Organisation, International Monetary Fund and the World Bank in order to challenge these damaging polices. BAMAKO resonates for Christian Aid in the way it gives voice to the issue and shares with us the pain and anger expressed by those on the receiving end of such international policies.
